where is my solace?
my broken, shaking rage has left me dumb
one day they'll know how bitter the pills taste
it takes too many just to fall asleep
collapsing like an empty doll lying splayed across your bed
i've been discarded and abandoned by someone i used to believe in
it's alright...it's alright
sweet tragedy is my only birthright
and in the end my solitude is holy
in the flickering light of your hateful gaze
i feel the teeth clamp down
my loneliness is a sprung trap
the blood still thick...the bone still white
what did i ever do to deserve this?
it's a bitter aftertaste..this absent romance
i'm a poorly drawn mess..an abstract disaster
are you waiting for me on the other side?

where it's all gone wild

the bruises on my lips have faded
i miss the cold, rough, calloused feel of your hands around my throat
my idle curiosity has gotten me in trouble again
sweetheart, am i still enough for you?
i've always scarred so easily
i am fresh flesh waiting to wear your mark

come a little closer

i like the taste you leave in my mouth
Aftertaste
I'm always writing about unrequited love but I rarely sit down and write about the violence behind lust. The rage it can create when only one person seems to be able to hold you and complete you. To break you apart into millions of pieces and put you together again. It's not real romance, just blind lust. Still good though.

emptied out my closet...laid the bones out on the floor
bleached teeth grinning
gnashing...
         snarling...
                   grinding...
chewing my lips i can taste copper
i tore my flesh to ribbons...drank the blood and sucked the bruise
stabbing my fingers into the soil...digging them in...dirt under my nails
the rich dark scent of incense overpowers the solemn silence
how long have i been waiting?
gnashing...
         snarling...
                   grinding...
quiet voices
quiet bones
i lick my lips and taste the bleached teeth grinning
There is a scar on my wrist that I got the day I met you.
Small and faded but I trace it sometimes.
There are memories there...locked beneath the skin.
Time heals all wounds but the pale marks remain.

There is a scar on my heart that I got the day I lost you.
Deep and jagged but I trace it sometimes.
There is pain there...locked beneath the skin.
They say time heals all wounds but the pale marks remain.

This scar on my wrist that I got the day I met you.
So small and faded but I trace it sometimes.
I can close my eyes and still see you smiling.
Time passes slowly and the pale marks remain.
Pale Marks (Jeremy)
In 2015 my best friend of more then ten year died. I've spent the last few years in a quiet fog of missing him and seeing reminders of him everywhere. I was sorting things when I noticed a small scar on the outside of my right wrist and I remembered scratching myself on the day that I met him. It was a surprising reminder and I sat down and wrote this poem. It's not amazing but it is what was going through my head.

there was an absolute harmony in the beginning
and then i destroyed it
it wasn't hard
i just squeezed until the veins were empty
a long time ago i made a promise to myself
i will never again quietly endure the fire
if bitten i will bite back
i will bite hard
i will sink my fangs deep until the blood spills
and i will rip the flesh and lick the open wound
i will dance in the flames and laugh in the face of childish innocence
once i was like that
safe behind an absolute harmony
and then i destroyed it
it wasn't hard
